Correspondence items may be referred to a specific person or department for processing.  ProVue allows you to track the assignment of items to one or more individuals and gives you a complete account of each task that is to be performed on a referred item.

The referral features of the system identify the persons or departments responsible for handling each correspondence item and alert you when responses are due on items that have been referred to you.   Referral data may be accessed in one of three ways.

• Using the Correspondence view, enter and save a new item of Correspondence and then select the Referral Option from the View Menu.

• Using the Correspondence view, retrieve a previously recorded Correspondence item and then select the Referral Option from the View Menu.

• Using the Referral view, perform a search to locate one or more referred items and select the related Correspondence record from the Referral List.
